By: Team CoSaS Plot Description: This is Anarchic Fox, speaking to you as one who has, until recently, held a distant and aloof position - a judge of thieves, not a thief himself. All of that changed last night, for I found myself put to the test by one Master Nightfall of the Circle of Stone and Shadow. As I swam through the sewers under his target's foundations, I knew that the stain and shame of thievery had now marked me permanently, and as I slid, shivering, across the inn's roof, I foresaw years of hardship and bloodshed to come. But the skill with which I slipped the riches of unsuspecting guests past their unseeing eyes spoke louder than my coward's conscience. The Circle of Stone and Shadow is here; its dark story has begun... ...And I am caught fast in its grip.... (more) Additional Comments: Gathering at the Inn is meant as an introduction to the player character, Dante, as well as a training mission on the use of the key ring and note pages. We hope all of these new elements will be self explanatory, and that you will enjoy the ideas. Most of all, though, we hope you have lots of fun playing our first mission. - Dan

By: Duodecimal Plot Description: Two weeks ago, a scruffy, middle-aged man approached me with a deal. He is tired and wants to live out his remaining years in comfort; working as a janitor to make ends meet has worn thin. He handles maintenance for a former Dayport Constable turned Barrister named Montgomery Moore. I know of him; various fences and acquaintences I had found useful in the past had met unfortunate ends in prisons with no small thanks to Monty...(more) Additional Comments: FM Contest 4 entry

By: Gumdrop (Tim Murray) Plot Description: Sabrier, a local dealer in illegal spice, has a problem: Laszlo Vidal. Vidal is a rum smuggling thug that has moved in on Sabrier's turf and started shipping rum from a small warehouse in the old rundown docklands. Sabrier has been keeping a close eye on Laszlo, and a few days ago Fenwick (Sabrier's eyes & ears) reported that Laszlo intends to meet with pirates from the south seas to negotiate some sort of mutual trading deal. Fenwick was supposed to report back with details of the meeting last night, but as he failed to show, Sabrier is assuming the worst.
You never thaught you'd be doing jobs for petty criminals again, but current situations in the city are more
dangerous than ever, and right now, being associated with thugs and murderers is as safe as anything else.

By: mopgoblin Plot Description: Your main objective is to obtain loot. There is also a "return home" objective. On "Easier", there is an optional no kill objective, and on "Harder", there is an enforced no kill/3 knockout limit objective. The limit on knockouts was added because the mission is still too easy without it. There are a couple of additional objectives on "Silly", but you can see those for yourself in-game. By: Telliamed (Tom N Harris) Plot Description: Being a thief in The City has never been better these days. If only because it's never been worse to be an honest tradesmen. The Hammerites are back, that old religion you thought had gone out of style with buckles on shoes. But while they entice the nobles with new machinery and electric lights, there is another ancient darkness creeping over The City.
Such things don't concern you however; not yet, at least. Right now you're just an average thief, trying to make a name for yourself in the shadowy underground. And you've been asked to do a favor.

By: Uncadonego (Don Adam) Plot Description: The Acolyte? I hate that name! Call me what I am! I'm a thief! An uncommon thief, granted, but a thief nonetheless. I steal. That's what I do. Get used to it, I'm not going to change. If it's not nailed down, kiss it goodbye. Take this Escarpment Gallery, for instance. Word is the curator has some priceless items he's recently acquired, but I'm sure my fence could put a price on them. This guy's only got himself to blame for losing them, advertising it and all... Tonight, I'm going to be who I am and do what I do. The gates are locked, and the place is guarded, but I know how to hop over a wall, and I need some practice on guards anyway... BurricksHeadInnLoot.rtf |
By: Yandros (Russ Robbins) Plot Description: As usual, the rent is due... but this time I also owe a few shopkeepers for some equipment I had to buy on credit, so I'd better go for a bigger haul than usual. There's a rustic little inn I've hit a couple of times before called The Burrick's Head. The decor is upscale, so there should be plenty of trinkets and valuables lying about... not to mention what the guests bring with them, which should be significant since the inn caters to the nobility. By: Maria Ström (Morrgan) Plot Description: "The trouble with pagans is, there's so many sides to choose from. A few days ago one of them showed up at my door, and I should have closed it on him then and there. His tribe and another have been at each other's throats, and before the conflict worsens my pleasant pagan friend wants to get some reconnaissance. If you would seek peace, prepare for war, as they say.
"Nothing too taxing it seemed: map out their warrens and learn their defences. He
bought my interest with a bauble, a fine ruby that should bring a twinkle to the
fence's eye. And, thought I, a little fresh air would do me good...(more)
