By: Tore Bekken (twindreamer) Plot Description: "There's a noblewoman who lives in the neighborhood and she owns a valuable gold skull called The Skull Of Herzeloyde. I will steal it from her tonight. It should yield a nice little profit. The house is protected by tough guards so I have to be careful. If they see me I'm in real trouble. Once I'm inside I will have to locate Liselle, the Lady's handmaiden. She will help me get the key to the room with the skull. She and I were quite friendly some time back. I think she's in love with me, but she's not my type really. I'll just play along until she gives me the key. Once I have the key I will be able to get the gold skull. Then I plan to slip quietly back out to the streets."

Comments by Reviewer: Lower Range: 4 -- There's nothing actually wrong this mission, but it does require a fair bit of sludging through sewers and other wet areas... which might not be to your taste. Upper Range: 6.5 -- A good mission if you like conventional, unconfusing Thief gameplay.

By: Daniel Corder aka Thiefs_Pawn Plot Description: Well, it's not how you'd planned to spend the evening, one dead body already and it's not even midnight. It had started out reasonably promisingly, a quite evening at your favourite watering hole and a nice simple job lined up for when the night was darker and the guards sleepier. That was until Skeller tried to jump you, he didn't really have a chance, you heard him coming well in advance, and when he pulled his dagger it was all over for him. At least something went well, he was even more incompetent than he first seemed and was carrying a note from his employer.

By: Paul Buckley Plot Description: The mission is based on the Dark Project series. Shortly after stealing the final talisman from the hammers Garrett was tailed en route to the haunted cathedral and was forced into a struggle with one hammerite guard in particular. This struggle led to Garrett being forced into dropping one of the talismans, the talisman of fire. He could just pick it up, but there is one small problem, the talisman of fire fell into an uncovered drain and dissapeared out of sight. Garrett must retrieve the fire talisman and get to the cathedral area, but its not as simple as it sounds.

CultoftheResurrectionWalk.htm CultoftheResurrectionLoot.html |
By: Sledge Plot Description: The biggest news in town is that one of the local Hammerite temples to the north was just raided. Several key artifacts were taken from the temple grounds, and the Hammers themselves were left butchered and torn apart. The word on the street is that the job was pulled off by a group of unknown, independent thieves, but the Keepers have found a way to get you a more accurate description of what happened. Apparently, the job was pulled by a cult calling themselves The Resurrection. Comprised mostly of ex-bandits and thieves, the group has been on a mad quest to collect a number of arcane relics for use in some bizarre rituals. The group is headed by a woman, shrouded in mystery, who the Keepers have found to be obsessed with the return of the Trickster. Convinced that his return to the realm of the living is imminent, she has been recruiting various rogues into her dark organization to carry out her bizarre schemes. The recent raid on the Hammerite temple is testimony to power and fanaticism of both the leader and the cult itself. The target of this most recent attack was none other than the fabled Spirit Stone - a blood red gem supposedly imbued with the powers to grant life. Not surprisingly, the Keepers would like you to find out where the cult is hiding it and steal it back. However, the cult is quite cunning, and although the Keepers were able to follow several of the members back to an old, walled-off section of the city, they have no idea where their hideout is. They want you to find their fortress and descend into the depths, stealing back what was taken by whatever means necessary.
Ordinarily, you don't take this kind of job due to the risk factor, but you don't anyone out
there giving thieves a bad name. And, if the cult has been collecting artifacts, they're bound
to have a horde of loot down there just ripe for the taking…

By: Ithel, KGoodsell & Kyloe Plot Description: A few yards outside the opera house where I'd been doing a job, I ran into an attractive seamstress on her way to join the opening night party inside. Her wry humor about being knocked to her feet caught my attention, and we parted on friendly terms. I saw her again last week and we talked for a long while. We decided to meet last night at my place. Her name is Chance. It turns out she's a professional of another sort--the oldest profession there is. Not your garden variety, mind you, but a courtesan. She's the mistress for a possessive merchant she wouldn't identify by name. When I woke up just after midnight, she was gone. Unfortunately, so was one of my lockpicks. Either she took it by mistake or she stole it. I hope the former, because I was beginning to like her. In any case, I need my tools back. While I don't know her exact address, I do know she lives in apartment #36 in one of the brothels in the Stew District. I'm not a paying customer, so I may have to find an alternate entrance. Although the authorities more or less "overlook" the indoor activities, a nightwatch patrols the streets to keep an eye on things, especially since the quarantine went into effect because of the syphilis outbreak.

Comments by Reviewer: Comments by Andrew Dagilis: • Pros: It's a large map for a fan mission (similar in size to T:TDP's "Assassins"), with lots of places to visit and loot to collect. It has an interesting premise and an attempt at a developing storyline. Garrett is finally doing something else in his free time than drinking at a pub. • Cons: The town's interiors are poorly designed. Your second major objective is a disappointment. The brothel is a sex-free zone. It makes unauthorized use of copyrighted material. • Bottom Line: This is definitely one of the good fan missions, with a lot to do, good exterior architecture and believable objectives.

By: Aisha Plot Description: You were informed about the corrupt Lord Weston having a secret love affair with Lady Barron, whose husband recently died in suspicious circumstances. Most likely the couple had something to do with the death of Lord Barron, a loved and well-respected man. Lord Weston has given the Lady some very expensive jewelry, but she keeps them at a secret hiding place as long as there's still some commotion about the death of Lord Barron. Only when things are back to normal, she can afford to be seen in public with Lord Weston and show her precious jewels.
So this is the right time to relieve the widow of her treasures, and while you're looking for secret hiding places, loot the place as well. Also, try to find some evidence against the Lady and her secret lover.

StrongholdSpoilers.txt Other: |
By: JohnEric Plot Description: You've just paid handsomely for the construction of a secluded hideaway adjacent to the Great Forest. The contractor was as discrete as a lot of money and threats can cause him to be. How the contractor kept the work under wraps was his problem. If it became your problem, you would have to start eliminating the leaks, and he knows it. Apart from the contractor, pagans made up the bulk of the work force. After what you went through alongside Viktoria, you and the pagans have reason to trust each other. Time to inspect the place and relax a little. As always, you keep a keen eye out for any change of plans. Take things as they come, and always follow through with what you start ... Garrett's basic survival technique. Additional Comments: Although some portions of this level may seem impossible, I assure you they ARE possible. A hint ... don't waste your gas arrows at the beginning.
PLEASE! TURN ON Weather and Fog! Half of this game is outdoors, in snow and fog.

By: Robin G. Plot Description: That man was suffering such desperation that I finally decided help him. Apparently his wife had been kidnaped by Sir Terence´s men and now he has constrained to sell his lands by a ridiculous price. If it would not be enough, Lady Whitman, since that was the name of the lady, was afflicted by a rare disease and if she does not was taking her medication soon would die without solution. Due to the threats, Lord Whitman had discarded from the beginning the possibility of attending the authorities, therefore distress and urgency had obligated him, according he said me, to appeal a thief like me.
Sir Terence´s gardener, man who Lord Whitman was relying, would be the only one help I would have to break into the building. Whitman indicated me his address and gave me the key of his house where he said I would find more instructions for the quest.

By: Alex Thomson (Dashjianta) Plot Description: The village of Ranjeya lies at the foot of Ranstall Keep which sits atop the Alskarl hill, overlooking The City. Both village and Keep have stood for centuries, with the residents of each existing in harmony with the other. A little over a year ago the Keep came under the rulership of one Lord Dalkstan, a foreigner and a recluse. Within a week of his arrival the Keep was shut off from the village. Doors that had stood open were locked and put under heavy guard, heavy patrols walked the once peaceful streets. Underlying it all was something far more sinister...

Comments by Reviewer: Comments by Marecki: • Pros: Great atmosphere enhanced by the lack of colour, great-looking AI skins. • Cons: Plain architecture, small bug in AI programming, high poly count at times. • Bottom Line: A great piece of horror story which almost feels like old movies of this kind. Of course it's not as good as RTC, but pretty damn close.

Comments by Second Opinion Reviewer: Comments by Andrew Dagilis: • Pros: Good plot and story development; new enemies; original approach to developing a climate of dread; most of the level is in black-and-white. • Cons: The village is minuscule; some of the architecture is too absurd and sabotages its own immersiveness as a result (unlike in The Sword, where the dadaesque areas had a purpose, since that entire mission was a test devised by the Trickster. The keep is no test). . • Bottom Line: Ranstall Keep is genuinely horrible -- and I mean that in a good way.

By: Caleb Callaway(Despot) Plot Description: There is a rich man that lives in the country side near the City who has earned a reputation for being hard, but honest. A classic rags-to-riches story, in fact. He has stayed clear of all political struggles and "shady" deals. He is know as Gerome of The Woodlands, after his home which he has styled "The Woodlands". No one to your knowledge has ever had anything against him. Until now. You have been contacted by a man named Sychter who said he was willing to pay well for incriminating evidence against this man. You have no idea what Sychter will achieve by this, however, he has paid you half the agreed price already, and you wouldn't want to be on his bad side. He seems to be more influential then he is saying. Additional Comments: Note: this mission uses an object from Thief Gold, so if you own Thief-Dark Project, you need to download Datoyminaytah's TG patch.

been a simple job but for the greediness of Felix. The Hammers caught him as he

By: Steven Hindley Plot Description: Later on the same night as the setting for Garrett's Revenge earlier in the night you robbed the vault of the Hammerite bank. After which you returned to your room at the inn, you can hear the Hammerites searching for who is responsible for the robbery, it only takes one Hammer to check the registry in the local inn to see if there is anyone new in this part of town. In the bar below your room you were met by another keeper, who had some items you might find useful, for a price. You go to your room together to sort out a deal, you hear from him that the gate to the docks is open, the Hammer's opened it to escort some drunk guards somewhere. The game starts where you are dealing with the keeper. Note you start with no weapons, and no starting kit, but your lockpicks, you wore out your blackjack earlier, it fell to bits just after you got to your room at the inn, the keeper says you've got to use stealth to get through the dockyards, and so your sword would just get in the way, so he will take it and hide it in the Custom House, north of the river, for a price, which is why you don't have much cash left to buy any stuff. Also the keeper doesn't have any blackjack's left having sold one to a guard at the guard house, south of the river. Items you need to buy from shop : 2 rope arrows 2 earth arrows (moss) 1 water arrow
