  Official Patches - Thief 1 Some versions of Thief, such as Thief Platinum, may come already patches, or have the patch file on your game disc. Adds EAX (Creative Labs' "Environmental Audio Extensions") support, joystick support, cheats, and several bug fixes. Official Patches Thief 2 Note: If you wish to use dromed with Thief 2, the proper order to install is: Thief 2 - Dromed - Thief 2 Patch - Dromed Patch. Thief 2's patch has dozens of tweaks, fixes, and additions to improve gameplay. This patch will only work with version 1.07 of the game. It requires 200 megs of additional hard-drive space. Updates Thief 2 to the same version at the above patch, but if you purchased the re-packaged T2 premier version, you must use this patch instead. Not sure why it's so much larger. Same as the above patches, but is for the German localization version of Thief 2. If you downloaded the patch (any of the above three) and wish to use Dromed, you must download this new version. Convict.osm Explanation: This file is required if you wish to play fan-made missions but do not have the editor installed. Simply unzip the file, and place convict.osm in your game folder. Some releases of the games may already include this file without the editor. Nvidia Driver 5x.xx Fixes Explanation: This patch fixes the "Direct 3D Device does not accurately report texture memory usage" error from Nvidia drivers versions 5x.xx and above. Overwrite the Thief EXE with the one in this zip. We will not be providing the Thief2 fix for Nvidia driver 5x.xx; because it bypasses copy protection; Thief 1 & Gold simply do not have this protection to begin with. Thief 2 users can simply place the line safe_texture_manager into their user.cfg file, which works reliably to fix this problem.
