Thief 1 / Gold Fan Mission
Shadow of Lord Rothchest

 Filesize: 2.52 MB
 Released: 9/7/1999
 readme.txt

 ShadowofLordRothchestLoot.htm

By: Anthony Huso

Plot Description: It's been three weeks since you sold Constantine's Sword with the understanding that you could always steal it back. The idea was to pay off all your debts with the cash from the sale-which you've already accomplished. The pursuant intent, of course, was to get your weapon back plus interest from whoever was rich enough to buy it in the first place. That was then....

Hammer Score: 6.0 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
Goit: A mixture of several minor triumphs and several minor flaws. Unspectacular but definitely worth playing.

The Problem : the guard of the main gate of the temple is locked from inside so find a solution to force him come outside,or find another way.

Hammer Score: 6.0 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
KFGecko: Rose of Bantry is a mission for the psycho-killer thieves who want a challenge; while the rest of the thief community should accept this job with caution. The level has a few highlights in architecture and stealth is important; although violence is pretty much unavoidable. Overall, Rose of Bantry stands in defiance to the ego. Download this level when you're in the mood for the challenge.

Thief 1 / Gold Fan Mission
Sword of Drakul

 Filesize: 1.16 MB
 Released: 9/6/1999
 readme.txt

By: Michael Webb

Plot Description: Unbeknownst to the naive townspeople, the evil Count Vlad, using the ancient Sword of Drakul is slowly building his minion force. Kill Vlad and steal the Sword of Drakul for yourself.

Hammer Score: 4.0 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
CEC UA: Sword of Drakul, a good first attempt into the land of fan missions, seems to be held down by object and loot placement, lighting, or lack thereof, and general mediocrity throughout. A good Story raises this slightly above average, and the thrill of outrunning a zombie still remains as an olympic sport.

Greyhawk: A small and plain level, but it is still enjoyable to play. A nice diversion for a half-hour, but not as complex as most levels out there. Bring a flashlight!

Plot Description: Steal the Hammerite Medallion and the Hand of Glory.

Hammer Score: 0.5 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
GreyHawk: Basically, this level would have made a better demo for the power station than it does as a level. If you do decide to download this level after all this, I can only offer one piece of advice - Beware the hunchbacked mice...

Garrett's Revenge

 Filesize: 2.1 MB
 Released: 8/19/1999
 Added: 9/10/1999
 readme.txt

 GarrettsRevengeWalkNormal.txt

By: Steven Hindley

Plot Description: An older part of the city near the docks, your map is out of date having been scrounged out of the city museum. Normally you wouldn't be able to get into this part of the city as it is usually heavily guarded, but the keepers have a job for you to do, and have distracted the guards, getting you in to this place, and you might be able to do some extra thievery on the side. Plus this is the only route you've been able to discover that takes you to the abandoned Trickster's Chimney Gem mine.

Hammer Score: 5.0 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
CEC UA: Garrets revenge is a perfect chance to see how changing objectives work and a good story. It tends to get frazzling though as most of the time you are searching for this and that. If you are already on your last nerve, please, skip this one... else your mouse may indeed become a bat as you throw it through the nearest window.

Thief 1 / Gold Fan Mission
Library

 Filesize: 1.3 MB
 Released: 7/28/1999
 readme.txt

By: Garett Choy (Kung Fo Gecko)

Plot Description: A Hammerite keep holds the largest collection of books in the land; and a particular book you've set out to retrieve. You've always wondered what was inside the keep's mysterious tower. While you're there, you may also want to recover a friend's personal item and the gold skull of St. Bentano. This is a medium sized mission where the gameplay style of choice is sneaking, but is appropriate for all styles of play. Also great for rope arrow lovers.

Hammer Score: 6.0 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
CEC UA: Kung Fu Gecko brings us this gem of a level, shattering many preconcieved notions about the quality of user made levels. Running at a near par with many actual thief missions, The Library has something for almost everyone. Grab your little tCoSaS library card and check this level out, and we promise no fines for late returns...in fact, keep it.

Thief 1 / Gold Fan Mission
Odium

 Filesize: 1.48 MB
 Released: 7/20/1999
 readme.txt

By: Chibboleth

Plot Description: You must infiltrate the mountain stronghold of an evil cult, the Inverted Hammer. Hopefully this will be the first in a series.

Additional Comments: To my knowledge, this is the first user-made mission with undeads.

Hammer Score: 5.0 of 10
Comments by Reviewer:
CEC UA: A new level for the demon in all of us has arrived, and "Odium" is its name. Take a stroll into the depth of a Salvador Dali nightmare, a walk into the dreams of Vincent Price. A fairly well made level with a very dark twist, and a very good plot. Just bring along some spare Boxers....could get a little messy in there.

Hammer Score: 5.0 of 10
Comments by Second Opinion Reviewer:
Tolen: This map is great on the one hand but sucks on the other. If the author would have invested 4 or 5 hours more to take care of the glitches and put in some sound effects, it would have been a great map.

Plot Description: Kill & steal.

Additional Comments: A Thief mission. You steal & kill.

Hammer Score: 3.5 of 10

CEC UA: A very good first attempt by koobze with very nice AI and design, with the negatives being the huge scale of the level and extremely high polygon counts. Difficulty is high and weapons are limited, but a fair diversion all in all.
