By: Komag (Ben Ramsey) Plot Description: On your way to grab some grub at a nearby tavern, a band of city guards transporting something spotted you as you tried to grab the contents of the crate for yourself! They didn't nab you, however, and you ran out of the city limits with a few of them hot on your trail. Charging into a nearby cave, you stumble over a sleeping body, and fall headlong down a steep hole, while the guards above can be heard discovering that there are a few other lowly thieves in the cave (including the one you stumbled over). Thinking they've caught up to and apprehended the thief they were trailing, they begin to mercilessly attack the other thieves, while you manage to scramble away deeper into the caves...

UFO-OchiruWalk.htm |
By: MaitchinguMachikoSensei Plot Description: From Ponterbee's Walkthrough: In keeping with Japanese-"nightmare"-style missions, I thought I'd do a quick write up of this horror. It's very short...You start the mission on a platform high above a zombie pit. Your mission- make it out of the area while you still live. You see that door waaaaaaaay down at the bottom? Jump at it. Aiiiiiiiiigghhhhhh!!!!! CRACK! While you're dying, move quickly to the door, open it, and get in. If you get inside before you die, the mission is a success. See? MISSION COMPLETE comes up! Whew.... You might need a break after playing this beast of a mission. Seriously, this is just a demo of sorts that actually bothered me quite a bit. You KNOW you've had nightmares similar to this. C'mon, admit it.

SaintofRedmoundLoot.rtf SaintofRedmoundLoot.htm |
By: Maria Ström (Morrgan) Plot Description: I've been hired by an eccentric but wealthy man called Ranfield to retrieve something for him. The object in question is a holy relic, the skull of St. Lambert. The man claims to be a distant relative of St. Lambert and would like to place the skull in his family tomb. Personally I don't care if this is true or not, just as long as he pays well.
According to Ranfield, the skull is kept in the reliquary of a hammerite monastery called Redmound. The monastery is situated to the west, in the outskirts of the City. Getting inside might prove to be difficult since the gates are guarded day and night. However, a few years back the Hammers bought a warehouse close to the monastery. The best way inside is probably through this warehouse, as there should be a passage connecting these two buildings.

By: Melan Plot Description: The clients who require my services can come up with some pretty extravagant demands. Tonight, I am to steal some old skull or another - supposedly invested with dark enchantment. Whatever, as long as it pays - a fool and his money is easily parted, and who am I to lecture folks on their foolishness?
Guarding the skull are a coterie of Hammerites - doubtless out for an intruder to "teach their tenets". Still, even if they guard that mouldy relic with all their care, there is bound to be a loophole for a careful thief. There is always one...

Other: Paz's Website |
By: Peter Parrish (Paz) Plot Description: I'd heard rumours that a popular group of musicians calling themselves 'The Cure' were in town. The lead singer, Robert Smith, gave me the creeps, he reminded me too much of the haunts back at that old hammerite cathedral. Their music they played though, was without equal.
Their manager, a rich noble named Lord Polydor, claims to have enlisted the help of a local wizard and trapped some of The Cure's music inside some kind of disc which he calls 'Bloodflowers'. Unfortunately, he is unwilling to allow any members of the public anywhere near it. I don't know if I really believe Polydor, but I certainly think it's time I did a little investigating. (More)

By: Red Rogue Plot Description: Cutty left behind a bunch of virtual training simulations in his attic which I managed to find. The point of this one is a simply survival. This shouldn't be too hard. On the other hand, I also found a pile of notes related to this virtual sumulator, and from my own assessment, this thing could turn out to be pretty reallistic after all. I might have to watch my step…

By: Richard C. Lafferty (Zaccheus) Plot Description: "The Keepers have a job for me. They have recently learned that the Hammers have returned the eye to the newly restored cathedral complex. Locked away securely, no doubt. The Keepers aren't too happy about this arangement, though, and have asked me to use my 'special skills' to retrieve it for them. Given the old quarter's history, I can't blame them. Getting in shouldn't be a problem. The main cathedral doors will be locked down, but I hear there is a new side entrance leading to the cloister gardens, and I should be able to find a backdoor key for the cathedral somewhere in St.Yora's. The hammers could be keeping the eye anywhere, so I'll have to hunt around for it. The Keepers are paying me for this job, so at least I won't have to worry about loot too much." ... (more) Additional Comments: The point of making the mission was simply to restore the cathedral. Nothing more. The mission is not meant to be the most difficult in Thief's history. It only has a simple story and two simple objectives, but the purpose of the mission is to give an impression of what the cathedral would look like in all its glory.

The funny thing is, they want YOU to help them. (Be warned, because the guards are prepared.) The Hammerites are getting ready to attack, assembling around a fire.
