By: Jan Jakubovic (krompac) Plot Description: This is the letter you've received from an unknown man: "Garrett, I don't like to do it, but circumstances made me to press you into service for me. Thanks to my informants, I know a lot about your 'activity' in our town and I have enough information to put you in jail for several years. However if you carry out what I'm going to ask you to do, I will burn all the proofs and forget about the whole matter. Several years ago, an evildoer named Virate has settled into the mansion behind the town. He used to be a Hammerite priest in the past, but later he got mixed up with the forces of darkness and was excommunicated from the order. Rumour has it that it's him to whom the army of the undead terrorizing the surrounding belongs. In the last weeks more and more undead could be seen and moreover people started to disappear under strange circumstances. In addition, I've received a message recently, that the Book of Forbiden Magic was stolen from secret Hammer library. There's no doubt that it was Virate who did it and I dare not think about all the evil he could commit with it.
Therefore I ask you to do what's inevitable: find Virate and kill him. Also find
the stolen Book of Forbiden Magic. It must be hidden again and protected against
villains like Virate. As a reward, you can take all valuables that you find in
his mansion."

By: Jani Saarijärvi (Spitter) Plot Description: My mommy always told me not to gamble, since you can also lose. I should've heeded her advice. The thing is, I just lost an awfully big sum of money to Berkson, and if I can't pay him by tomorrow his boys will break every bone in me. Not very fair, especially since I'm just a lousy, small-time merchant - there's simply no way I can scrap the amount of money Berkson wants. So we struck a deal - I steal him something and he lets me go. I don't like it, but at least I'll live...(more) Additional Comments: FM Contest 3 entry.

By: Jani Saarijärvi (Spitter) Plot Description: I've been contacted by a man who introduced himself as Thlop Rump. He tells me that the Hightowne Baronial Museum is having a very interesting item as an exhibit - the Serpent's Eye gemstone. Obviously, he wants it for himself. No problem. Before leaving, this Rump character warned me that even though the night guarding of the museum is quite minimal, they have invested a few dimes into the security systems ...(more) Additional Comments: Small fan mission contest winner.

GellersPrideWalk.txt GellersPrideLoot.rtf |
By: Jani Saarijärvi (Spitter) Plot Description: It seems that certain Lord Geller has an intriguing amount of gold in his possesion, just ripe for taking. He's not natively from The City, but my contacts lack the information about his original homeland. For a foreigner, he's in a surprisingly wealthy position, and he's a careful one, too. He has stored most of his wealth into the First City Bank And Trust. So, instead of the usual burglary, I'm thinking of blackmailing. My contacts tell me that Geller isn't really as pure as the driving snow, but they don't know the details. My plan is quite simple: break into his mansion, search for anything useful for blackmailing and take some of his wealth in the process...(more) Additional Comments: The story takes place between the events in Thief 1 and 2.

By: Jani Saarijärvi (Spitter) Plot Description: Sheriff Truart has begun his personal vendetta against the City's crime element and I'm on the top of his Most Wanted list. Jobs have been scarce - although most of the fences would gladly offer me any jobs they have, the fact is that there aren't all that many of them around anymore. What comes to my thefts, I've been clutching at straws lately. Luckily one of my sources has dropped me a very... lucrative hint. After this job I can keep a low profile for a while. I've never been much in to organised crime. I'm in this trade to profit myself, and the idea of funding some lazy godfather figure pulling the strings in the shadows doesn't really seem all that intriguing, something that my old friend Ramirez had to learn the hard way. But, as they say, there's no honor among thieves... (More)

By: Jason Otto Plot Description: A fence came to me with a request. A collector is looking for an ancient artifact, The Talisman of Death. Trouble is that its being kept by a local Hammerite monastery. Seems the Hammerites fear the talisman and keep it under pretty close guard. The last couple of thieves to go after this one were never heard from again. It’s a tough job, but nothing is impossible for the greatest thief in the world. While I’m there I should look for a few other artifacts. The Sword of the Builder should bring a good price, magical swords always do. These Hammerites are also known to have a secret fighting technique. If I could find a copy of their fighting manual it could be valuable. Additional Comments: A bit choppy in a few places, reduce the number of background operations you are running to avoid any severe frame rate issues.

By: Jason Otto (Ottoj55) Plot Description: A man came to me with a simple job, steal a book, no big deal I thought. He’s interested in an ancient tome recently uncovered in Karath-Din. He says its called the Book of Shadows and contains writing in runes no one can understand. He’s not able to pay much for the job, but the book is on display in a tiny museum in Audale, a good place to find some loose change and maybe a trinket or two. I hear they have a nice collection of Lost City artifacts, a cultivator might bring a nice price in black alley and the museums safe box should make my rent for a while too. And while I’m at it getting a look at this book before I hand it over could be useful, if the runes are anything like the Keeper glyphs I might find some useful information in this book. Looks like tonight I’m working the night shift. Additional Comments: Yandros' Small Stock Resource Contest third place

By: Jason Otto (Ottoj55) Plot Description: Story: With all the chaos in The City after the death of our beloved Father Karras, Brothers Glatzel and Sacco have moved a small band of us to a castle in the mountains far to the north. Here we intend to complete Father Karras' greatest design, a dimensional portal. With this device we shall bring The Builder's Paradise to the world. All thy gears shall be lubricated and in good repair when the portal allows The Builder to walk among us. Join us tonight as we again attempt to operate this greatest design of the immortal Father Karras and bring peace to the world.
Bugs & Tips: This mission is very resource intensive due to complex and detail architecture. There are a few instances where objects or AI will disappear on screen because the renderer is over loaded. Please, if you have a slower rig be warned that this is a problem. I pushed the engine a little too far in a few places.

DebtRepaidWalk.txt DebtRepaidLoot.rtf Other: Mission Hints |
By: Jason Otto (Ottoj55) Plot Description: A few years ago Garrett broke me out of Cragscleft Prison, A couple years after that he helped me break Jenivere out of a rich noble's manor. Tonight Garrett is the one in need of a rescue. A job he was on didn't go to well and now the City Watch has him locked up. An average housebreaker would get a long stay in their dungeons for this, if they figure out that this is Garrett they'll execute him for sure. I've been here once before, but only saw the Holding Cells, so I'm not sure where the dungeon entrance in located. I got a map of the City Watch Station from a contact of mine who works in the City planning office, but the dungeon isn't shown on it either. I hope Jenivere will understand if I don't make it out, but Garrett needs my help. Breaking into a City Watch station is not my idea of a good time, but I owe Garrett big time. Additional Comments: This mission is set sometime between the events of Thief 2: The Metal Age and Thief: Deadly Shadows. The Mechanist order is gone, many of the Mechanist's have returned to the Hammerite Order or fled. The Mechanist technology is in disrepair without the aid of the brothers. Spare parts for Mechanist machines are bringing a nice price in Black Alley.

By: Jason Otto (Ottoj55) Plot Description: Things haven't been going so well for the Baron. He's losing his war, and unless he can capture a key enemy fortress on the top of a lonely island he'll never get his navy to safety. Normally, I'd stay out of business like this. A captain in the Baron's army tracked me down, he asked for the best cat burglar in the city, and wound up finding me. With the fee I'm being offered to help get the Baron's forces into this fortress I'll be able to pay my rent for a long time. I'll have to watch my step on this job.

By: Jeremy Catlin (HipBreaker) Plot Description: Lately the Undead have risen out of their graves and massed what seems to be an organized army and are taking over the city. This can be a problem for you because what is the point of stealing when everyone is dead? So, a local Lord, Leonard Krauft, has gotten hold of an antidote for when anyone gets bitten by an Undead. You figure that this would come in handy and it is worth a lot, considering he is only selling them to the highest bidders. You also hear that a scientist discovered the reasoning behind the invasion, and that it may have to do with the recent comet that almost hit Earth. Starting in the almost over-run city, find out what you can and get what you need. The nearly abandoned city, either dead or running, could use your help, but in turn you need them to live as well. Stop this insurrection, and make a profit while you are at it.

GerrardsTempleLoot.rtf |
By: Jericho Barimen Plot Description: “I have a simple job plan for tonight. A small, city Hammer temple has recently attracted my attention. Not that I’d like to marvel at its architecture, but the temple should hold some nice valuables and I think I need them more than the Hammers do. A priest in charge, named Gerrard will be out of the temple tonight, leaving on some kind of mission for the Hammer order. This should make my job easier. Still, I should watch out for Hammer guards. The front entrance is guarded as always, so I’ll be looking for another way in. I’m not sure, but there should be one...(more)
