By: Ricebug (Terry DeLaney) Plot Description: Welcome to the Thief 2 conversion of Strife. This was actually my first attempt at DromEd. However, due to the complexity of the level and my total ignorance of DromEd, it was scrapped. Although I have attempted to re-create the original initial mission, the storyline has been revamped. This will (I hope) become a campaign, where more of the levels are introduced and the story unfolds. This is why you will see areas sealed off for future missions.

It is possible to “complete” the final objective before getting all the loot. However, you won’t be able to end the mission.
Using Greenhorn’s crossbow takes a bit of practice. Aim higher than normal, especially when using broadheads and water arrows.

Jenivere's death and Basso's kidnapping really threw me off balance but now I've heard that Basso might be on the estate of Lord de Winter. This evening the Lord is expecting some important people from the city...I should use this disturbance to find out where Basso is and to get him out of there. Sniff is well known by people of my profession for bringing the latest news. Also he had message for me from a colleague: Troy, he told me for paying his services with a pint (and even some more...), is on the track of something interesting and wants me to come to him to Boulders Quartier. As I have to stay out of sight around here Troy's invitation suited me fine. Besides my last operations weren't that successfull and my landlord will show up again soon. Therefore I went to the gate of Boulders Quartier at first dawn. I waited for the gate being unwatched and hid myself in a dark corner and waited for the guard taking turns. By: Rostvogel (Igor Smikalla) Plot Description: When not long ago I travelled on the road to ... via the Rogokir Pass, I discovered a chasm in the ground which had opened behind the first embankment. This had to be the result of a little earthquake and the recently heavy rain. The cleft seems to be big enough for a burrik to drop in. Therefore it is sealed off. For further security a sentinel is deployed. The very sentinel had a conversation with one of the monks from the local abbey, who exchanged some stories of old for a noble sip of wine. And this I could not avoid to overhear: During wartimes the abbey was used as a fortress, in which not only the monks but also the royal family and the main part of the population withdrew from their enemies. Once the abbey and the surrounding facility had been much larger. But since when the armies of the underworld rose to earth's surface much had been destoyed and is sunken forever.... (more)

By: Schattengilde Plot Description: That was a botched job: a planned meeting that ended in the midst of a Mechanist assault, because my contact didn´t come. The plan therefore had to be changed but it doesn’t matter as I still have obtained the order and escaped the Mechanists unscathed. Somebody slipped a map (or rather a sketch) to me, so I can begin. I must grab my equipment, make sure I have my instructions and map, take a deep breath and head out for the Hidden City! Additional Comments: This is the sequel to Book of Prophecy 1: Dead Letter Box.

By: Schattengilde Plot Description: The story takes place after Thief 2: THE METAL AGE. Many of the remaining Mechanists returned contritely to the Hammerites after the fall of Karras. They repudiated the heresy of Karras and assisted in the hunt for Mechanists not willing to renounce their faith. Only a few managed to escape this purge. Strengthened with new acolytes, the Hammerites resumed power. The High Hammerite council formally decreed the dissolution of the Order of the Gear. Following this, the members of the City Watch returned to their former professions, resulting in a power vacuum that the Hammerites couldn't fill. Several other groups took advantage of this to try to gain power for themselves. The Keepers, once again anxious to keep balance in the city, were forced to act. Of late, they have concentrated on a single person, Bassilus, a priest and self-proclaimed messiah. His plans have been difficult to discover and it is nearly impossible to enter his sphere of control. Unwanted guests disappear without a trace. The Keepers sense that he could become a great threat to the entire town so it's not really a surprise that one night Garrett receives a well-known visitor as well as a new mission.

She must find a way into the castle. There are several important documents she needs to recover. Additional Comments: In this mission you are Elizabeth and so you do not have the fighting skills that Gellert possesses, but she has a strong and precise crossbow with linearly flying broadhead arrows!
This is the third mission in the Elizabeth Bathory saga. It is recommended you play the first two missions before you play this one.
