By: Markus Lappalainen (Mokkis) Plot Description: Luke 22: 17-20 And he took the goblet, thanked everyone, and said: "Take this and share it among yourselves". "I say this to you: Henceforth, I do not drink the bounty of the vineyard, before into Gods Kingdom I go. And he took the bread, thanked everyone, broke the bread, and gave it to his disciples and said, "This is my body, that will be given in behalf of you. Please, do it for my memory." In the same way he blessed the wine from WOODEN GOBLET. After the meal he said, "This goblet is a symbol of my blood, what will be sacrificed on your behalf." After Jesus death, disciples retained the Holy Grail, for his memory. Later it becamed the holy symbol of a Christian church. Now, after 1000 years, the legendary Holy Grail is kept in the St. Michael's Cathedral. Felix has located the Holy Grail and he has a customer who would pay so dearly for it that you could retire as a very wealthy man!

CultoftheResurrectionWalk.htm CultoftheResurrectionLoot.html |
By: Sledge Plot Description: The biggest news in town is that one of the local Hammerite temples to the north was just raided. Several key artifacts were taken from the temple grounds, and the Hammers themselves were left butchered and torn apart. The word on the street is that the job was pulled off by a group of unknown, independent thieves, but the Keepers have found a way to get you a more accurate description of what happened. Apparently, the job was pulled by a cult calling themselves The Resurrection. Comprised mostly of ex-bandits and thieves, the group has been on a mad quest to collect a number of arcane relics for use in some bizarre rituals. The group is headed by a woman, shrouded in mystery, who the Keepers have found to be obsessed with the return of the Trickster. Convinced that his return to the realm of the living is imminent, she has been recruiting various rogues into her dark organization to carry out her bizarre schemes. The recent raid on the Hammerite temple is testimony to power and fanaticism of both the leader and the cult itself. The target of this most recent attack was none other than the fabled Spirit Stone - a blood red gem supposedly imbued with the powers to grant life. Not surprisingly, the Keepers would like you to find out where the cult is hiding it and steal it back. However, the cult is quite cunning, and although the Keepers were able to follow several of the members back to an old, walled-off section of the city, they have no idea where their hideout is. They want you to find their fortress and descend into the depths, stealing back what was taken by whatever means necessary.
Ordinarily, you don't take this kind of job due to the risk factor, but you don't anyone out
there giving thieves a bad name. And, if the cult has been collecting artifacts, they're bound
to have a horde of loot down there just ripe for the taking…

By: Steven Hindley Plot Description: You play Ryalla, you start in Ryalla's house, so read Ryalla's diary to find out what is going on. Additional Comments: This is my effort for the competition that ran on the circle but was scrapped because no-one finished in time.
Has not been beta tested.
Dropping a key will make one of the objectives not
completed so don't drop any of the keys.
This Level drips, so you might need a fast computer just
to play it.
There is no store, all the items you need are in a hidden
room in Ryalla's house.

By: Purah, Totality, Thumper, Loanstar, & Deep Qantas Plot Description: This is your city. A black-caped lord, you survey your domain from the rooftops with pensive, cynical eyes. They are analytical eyes. Like camera shutters, they slice and assess every footfall on the midnight cobbles below. You time every pendulous swing of the lanterns and evaluate every fitful throw of shadow from one end of the street to the other. Your ears unconsciously decipher the sullen echoes of voices, machinery and wind. This is a city of metronomes where chimney pots sway to the ancient gurgle of pipes whose forlorn songs rise from throats of incurable decay. You gauge the lonely armored scrape of each city watchman as a matter of habit, for there is machination in thievery. And timing is everything. You have internalized the rhythm of movement and non-movement, the play of shadows, down to your very own pulse.... (more)

By: Doaal (Guillaume Manders) Plot Description: The Hammerite Temple that was destroyed by Constantine's minions has been rebuilt, and the Hammers have built a bigger cathedral: The Cathedral of St Eva. By: Ken Ramsley (frobber) Plot Description: The Trickster has been dead 30 days tonight, the world is still saved from his evil, and yet strangely I have grown darker these past weeks. But Why? Comfort from old wine cellars has been easy enough to find, and loot at the expense of my rich neighbors still pays the bills. Is this not the easy life I always wanted with no world in need of rescue? Lisha says this darkness descended on me when my old Hammer eye gave out. But what good is the new mechanical eye the Hammers have waiting for me? Even when I had two perfectly normal human eyes I wasn't any richer than I am tonight!
Yet, as I write this, I am beginning to feel a shift in the air ...and not simply the early Autumn wind I hear blowing like it can't wait to get home to Old Man Winter. Perhaps it's just another crazy dream, but something keeps saying that my fortunes are about to change ...that the BIG one is just around the corner ...where I'll finally know the true comfort and peace of mind that comes with becoming a genuinely wealthy man!

By: Robin G. Plot Description: What that woman paid in bribes to find me had to be no small amount. She began to speak as she deposited two large and shining gems on the table. "I will give you half dozen more if you discover what has happened to my bridegroom" -she situated herself in a chair and continued- "His name is Saturio Machado. He returned barely one week ago after having fought for months in a war in the Hilldrim territories. We spent the night of his return together in my house. The following day he rose early, eager to go to his family's mansion because his mother was ill, and had been for a long time. That was the last time that I saw him. Concerned, I went to the authorities since I did not wish to face Lady Machado... she never accepted my relationship with Saturio. Much to my surprise, the cops told me that Sigfrido, the nephew of Lady Machado had informed them that according to the news received from the front, Saturio had died in combat weeks back. The authorities did not have reason to doubt his word and thus they let me know. Something has happened behind those walls Mr. Garrett. You have to help me."

By: Triston Attridge (Totality) Plot Description: Times are hard. The incident in Peteroski did not help. I should have known better than to trust Iron, but he paid for it. The unfortunate side effect is that I am here, in this village of Winterhelm, the laughing stock of the whole county and stuck here with not an iota of help, and out of cash. I need my reputation to be spotless, and lucklily, someone is available to provide for it. Apparently there is a local noble by the name of Theron who is the devil on everyone's lips, he is not well liked.
Rumour has it the he is a drug baron of sorts, the caves under the village are stocked with the mushroom nocturnis, which makes an extremely strong liquor once distilled which is also narcotic. He owns the constabulary and is apparently making a very tidy profit, enough to buy a few sacred treasures. After, well, let us say persuading a former servant who was ejected I have a rough idea of the layout of the manor, and the goods that are contained within. The most exceptional of this is the Orb, an item rumoured to be that of magic, but we all know about those sort of things don't we? There's also the Ankh of Mishra, a religous plaything, and perhaps more tangible there is the Golden egg of Tut. They should all fetch some revenue....(more)

By: Tumbleweed (William Hollingsworth) Plot Description: "I wonder if he reads them, if if they're just for show..". There's some strange fascination that nobles have with books that I can never quite understand. Maybe it's because they think we commoners can't read them and it makes them superior, in my experience it's just that "nobles" never pass an opportunity to just make it clear who's got the cash and what better way to do it than to spend it something so impractical. Anyway, it turns out my old friend Lord Bafford is seeking to expand his collection, going for quality over quantity. He's getting all kinds of rare tomes from across the lands and is having one especially delivered from Lesser Hrabota. The merchant doing the transaction is staying at the Dancing Clayman inn at Lower Eastport tonight with the intention of delivering it tomorrow. However, a well paying client of mine has also expressed an interest, and I wouldn't want to dissapoint.
I wonder if Lord Bafford has ever seen the inside of a Keeper library..

Bottom Line: This mission is excellent in all respects, but it’s relative shortness and the lack of a strong plot just stops this one hitting the top. Tumbleweed - you’ve surpassed yourself.

RitualWalk-Loot.rtf |
By: Twisty Plot Description: Prologue: When - Several months before the first event of Thief 2. Garret is confronted one morning by a messenger boy who has a letter for him. "Dear Garrett, It has in truth been years since we last met, yet sometimes when I cast my mind back to those days, it seems only minutes have passed when as children we played on those dirty streets and lightened the pockets of passer-bys. Although we have seldom crossed paths since your joining the keepers, I have often thought and asked after you. Though it with much unexpected pain that I seek an audience with you now.
As you may already know, I have been wed to Master Greaves, a successful trader
for some years now and have borne him a daughter, Merimee, who will turn eight
this year. So, as you can see, my life has indeed taken a more rewarding turn than
what I ever envisioned in my youth. That is, until recently.
When my mother became widowed all those years ago she found herself without
money enough to support me and sent me as a child to the city where I could work
in one of the many factories there. And yet poverty was not the only reason that I
was sent away it seems. Following the death of my Father, my mother turned to a
cult group there for support whose beliefs and identity were kept a closely
guarded secret. Heather Downs, having such a strong history of Hammer loyalists,
was no place to start joining other religions and yet in those dark times she felt
that she had nowhere else to turn.... (more)

Comments by Reviewer: Comments by Ken Ramsley: • Pros: Relatively bug free, realistic setting, lots of places to go. • Cons: Too long, lackluster story, shopping-list feeling. Too many over-pumped guards often protecting nothing worth fighting for. • Bottom Line: Lots of real estate, some interesting custom items and effects, but nothing much to establish or carry a story.

Comments by Second Opinion Reviewer: Comments by Andrew Dagilis: • Pros: Solidly well thought-out interiors and exteriors, custom textures and sounds, no contrived "gotcha!" traps. • Cons: Some technical/programming slip-ups, some featureless rooms (admittedly, in buildings you don't have to visit), random stitched-together plotline with several slapped-on, unmotivated objectives. • Bottom Line: The designer obviously took great pains in creating his Austro-Swisslike town and all aspects thereof. Sadly, his architectural achievement is undermined by slipshod plotting and merely average scripting. Such a well designed setting deserves plot underpinnings of equal quality; unfortunately, the plotting feels a bit hodgepodgey, as if it's being made up as you go along.

By: JohnEric Plot Description: You've just paid handsomely for the construction of a secluded hideaway adjacent to the Great Forest. The contractor was as discrete as a lot of money and threats can cause him to be. How the contractor kept the work under wraps was his problem. If it became your problem, you would have to start eliminating the leaks, and he knows it. Apart from the contractor, pagans made up the bulk of the work force. After what you went through alongside Viktoria, you and the pagans have reason to trust each other. Time to inspect the place and relax a little. As always, you keep a keen eye out for any change of plans. Take things as they come, and always follow through with what you start ... Garrett's basic survival technique. Additional Comments: Although some portions of this level may seem impossible, I assure you they ARE possible. A hint ... don't waste your gas arrows at the beginning.
PLEASE! TURN ON Weather and Fog! Half of this game is outdoors, in snow and fog.

Walkthrough |
By: Bryan Matthews Plot Description: The Treasury is a medium sized Mission crammed full of Technical effects. You overheard a conversation by a drunken Sergeant in the Stags Head a few nights back. He ran his mouth about some underground workings believed to be mythical and supposedly made by Craymen. Although highly intoxicated the Sergeant was insistent that they did exist. He also hinted at the fact that this could be another way into the impregnable Hammer Treasury. Working for other people can reap rewards but this sounds like a Mission just for your benefit. You have enlisted the help of a petty thief called Mad Sam who has agreed to help you gain entry to the Executioners yard tonight. He does bear somewhat of a grudge after some ill treatment meted out to him last month by the Hammers.Note: Heed the fact that not all that glitters is gold. If it looks like it should work it probably does! This Mission has a high humor content and certain ironies do manifest throughout the Level. A walkthrough will be released in around a weeks time. Have fun and try not to meet your Waterloo! ( You will understand the aptness of this word in more ways than one by the time you finish this Mission.)

Comments by Reviewer: Comments by Brain "Junkyman" Junk: • Pros: Lots of creative technical enhancements, nice architecture, good AI, and overall gameplay. • Cons: Puzzles can be very frustrating, too much 'save, try again, save, try again....' • Bottom Line: I think it can safely be said that this mission breaks new ground on a technical/interactive standpoint for fan-missions. The novice Thief will have a difficult time in some areas, but the overall immersion and player interaction of the level more than makes up for any frustration. And to top it off, there is some very good straightforward thiefing.
