By: Timon Plot Description: These days, you can only be safe if you are dead. The almighty hand of the Capitula will reach everyone, everywhere, even the smallest and the best hidden. In fact, a huge part of the city starts begging in the streets as a way to survive. They are not considered citizens, but they live with us and they let us realize how rich and happy we are. Yet sometimes their existance does not suit to the city's image and its might. The meeting held by the Capitula was finally decisive. It was decided that the beggars will be shown the place where they belong - the dungeons and the worst parts of the city. They hit with great precision, today Timoteus was captured, a friend since the early years, today the King of the beggars. He was charged with the murder of the wealthy merchant from the fish market, called Bazil. Everything was stinking, Timoteus was accused of murder by Sheriff Norbert, the Capitula's favorite. Yet, not everything is lost, the chance to save Timoteus is to provide a good alibi. A full purse can do miracles, a well respected and and what's more important, a wealthy weaponsmith Michael will make an announcement tomorrow. He will claim that at the day of the murder Timoteus stayed in his small dungeon, caught when trying to steal his chicken. Two days later he escaped and demolished two barrels and some minor equipment on his way. Sounds hilarious, but only this kind of alibi and this kind of person can save Timoteus' head. Provide Timoteus who was arrested with the alibi, so tomorrow he can tell the judges during the trial what happened on this feral day. It's better that he is punished for stealing chicken, rather than for murder. Besides, the weaponsmith Michael will demand that the court lets him decide what the punishment will be and according to the local law he has the right for such a demand...... After all, information is the best deposit you can make, as well as life insurance. Let's move on! You hope to leave this forgotten forest by dawn. Forgotten by humans and gods....

By: Timon Plot Description: Ces temps-ci, il n'y a que les morts qui se sentent en sécurité. Nul n'est à l'abri de la main du Chapitre, même le plus petit ou le plus marginal. Beaucoup d'habitants dans cette Cité vivent de la mendicité par besoin et par nécessité. Ces mendiants ne sont pas considérés comme des citoyens mais grâce à eux les riches sont fiers d'avoir une fortune. Et leur présence est souvent ressentie comme un outrage pour l'image de marque de la cité. Ils n'auraient pas dû venir mendier sur les marches du Chapitre et, malheureusement, la balance n'a pas penché en leur faveur. Il fallait montrer à ces gueux leur véritable place : des cellules miteuses et les égouts de la ville. Additional Comments: French only.

Zebranie jako sposob na zycie lub w wyniku zyciowej koniecznosci uprawia spora grupa mieszkancow Miasta. Nie sa traktowania jak obywatele ale dziela to Miasto z nami i pozwalaja nam odczuc swoje szczescie i bogactwo. Jednak niekiedy ich obecnosc nie pasuje do wizerunku Miasta i jego wladzy. Zebranie pod siedziba Kapituly przechylilo szale, Postanowiono pokazac zebrakom ich wlasciwe miejsce - lochy i najpodlejsze zakamarki Miasta. Uderzono celnie, zatrzymano dzis popoludniu Tymoteusza, przyjaciela z lat mlodosci, dzis Krola zebrakow. Postawiono mu zarzut morderstwa kupca z rynku rybnego - Bazylego. Wszystko szyte grubymi nicmi, zarzut wniosl Szeryf Norbert, zaufany Kapituly. Jedyna szansa to przedstawienie wiarygodnego alibii. Pelna kiesa czyni cuda, szanowany i co wazne bogaty platnerz Michal oswiadczy jutro, ze ca³y dzien w ktorym dokonano morderstwa, Tymoteusz spedzil w jego loszku przylapany na podkradaniu kur. Usiekl mu dwa dniu pozniej niszczac bwie beczki i troche innego sprzetu. Co tez ludzie nie wymysla, ale tylko takie alibii i taka osoba moze uratowac glowe Tymoteusza. Dostarcz mu informacje do aresztu aby w czasie porannnego przesluchania mogl pierwszy przekazac sledczym taka wersje zdarzen tego feralnego dnia... Lepsza kara za kradziez kur niz za morderstwo, zreszta platnerz Michal wystapi o wydanie w jego rece Tymoteusza aby moc wykonac sluszna kare, zgodnie z tutejszym prawem...... Coincidentally, the CoSaS Project remake of this mission, Gathering at the Inn, was released one year ago to the day from this posting, on February 11th, 2003. The re-release of the original GatB for T2, converted by James Desiderio, is for mostly nostalgic purposes, and so that possibly those who only own Thief 2 may look GatI's humble beginnings.

Tonight he is having his biggest party yet, a perfect opportunity to raid the place. Asking a few of your ‘Contacts’ you have found out some useful information about a huge diamond that he has on display in his gallery, the only thing is it will be locked tight at night so you’ll need to find Bob and Henry as they will apparently let you in.

By: Troutpack Plot Description: I was contacted by a man with an interest in the occult. He's asked me to acquire a certain tome for him. Apparently it's an ancient book that deals with burial rites and things of that nature. The book was discovered at some ancient ruins by an old professor and it is currently in his possession. He has retreated to his cabin in the mountains to study it away from prying eyes. It shouldn't be too difficult to sneak in there and slip back out with the book. Then again, that's what I told myself before I had my eye torn out. I'm sure everything will go fine this time though.
