By: Eshaktaar Plot Description: Arkford. A six days' march northeast of the City; far enough for me to keep a low profile. The events in and underneath Farrington Manor compelled me to leave my usual field of activity for a while. Arkford's citizens have high standards when it comes to their prosperity. Nobody asks you how you amassed your riches, though, which made me fit right in. Still, I don't plan on overstaying my welcome, and after three months I've seen about enough of this conceited town. Tonight's job will be my farewell present before I head back to the City. A stone bust called "The Sleeper" is currently on display in the local museum, the Harrogate. The bust is as ugly a piece of art as it is a coveted item among collectors. Instead of being a useless dust gatherer, it would serve a much better purpose if it earned me some money, so I'm going to make it mine. What makes this task interesting are the elaborate security measures surrounding the sculpture. The bust sits on a pressure plate that triggers the alarm at the slightest change of weight. I assigned a sculptor to create a replica of identical weight which I'm going to exchange for the original. For the time being, that's the only detail I know about Harrogate's security system. Lucky for me, a renowned security inspector happens to be in town, and he has written a detailed report about the Harrogate's safety precautions. This report might prove useful in my endeavor. I also managed to befriend one of the museum's curators, Sheila Jennings, and persuaded her to borrow a few keys for me by tonight.
It's time for me to pay the museum a late visit. The quicker I finish this job, the sooner I get away from Arkford. This town is starting to give me headaches.

GhostingLootThrough.rtf |
By: Eshaktaar Plot Description: As skilled as I am at picking locks, getting the right key instead is sometimes preferable or even unavoidable. Over the years I've gathered quite a few keys that might again prove useful one day, but most of them I simply kept for the memories of jobs well done. When I looked through my collection yesterday, I discovered a golden key decorated with a skull and the numbers 6 and 7. Although I couldn't remember when or where I had obtained this particular key, I recognized its design: The very same depiction of a skull hangs over the entrance of Eastlawn Cemetery in Dayport, which likely means the key opens a crypt that's found in there. With no better job in sight for the time being, I might as well try finding the fitting lock. Who knows, maybe I'll come across a couple of sellable burial objects. By: Eshaktaar Plot Description: I was contacted by a man named Grimworth, a dealer in antiques, who offered me an interesting proposal:
Lord Robert Farrington, eccentric collector and well-known sympathizer of the
Hammerites, passed away some days ago. His two sons are currently arguing over the
inheritance, because the late lord's testament has not been found yet. The place
used to be heavily guarded, which is one of the reasons why I haven't paid it a
visit before. But Farrington's sons have refused to continue paying the

By: Esme Plot Description: I heard through the grapevine that my old friend Bafford had moved house, apparently there was some embarrassment regarding a recent burglary at his old place and he wanted to be nearer to the city watch as his own guards didn't seem to be enough ... or something like that heh. The Watch had established a special high security area in town, completely walled in, a "gated community" they called it you even paid a toll to enter and leave the area, Unfortunately they cut off some of the services in their haste to build the place so they have lights but no running water ... the price of security I guess ... and this was where bafford has moved to ... well I've faced worse.
Anyway I decided to pay my old friend a visit, as I'd also heard he had regained possession of the jewelled sceptre I relieved him of last time ... another "old friend", how can I resist.

By: Fafhrd Plot Description: The Keepers have contacted me and want me to retrieve a couple of items for them, namely the Scroll of N'lahotep and the canopic jar containing his brain. They've directed me to a pyramid quite a distance from the city and have warned me, at all costs DO NOT READ THE SCROLL!! Additional Comments: My first genuine attempt at a level, it's nothing much, but I've only been working on it in my spare time, and there have been interruptions, such as System Shock 2. Special thanks go out to KGoodsell for debugging it.

By: Fidcal Plot Description: Long ago extremist Hammerites took street waifs and levered and bruised their minds through dominant persuasions to their dogmatic beliefs. The boy Jack was one such - grateful when I freed him whilst unshining a bloated temple of its gold one stormy night. Though my seeming compassion was styled only for fear he'd rouse alarm, I did pity him a little, gave him provision, and set him up to go his own way. Indeed, he later took the name Midcoat from an old grey cloak with which I warmed him. Jack Midcoat, now a young man and loosed of Hammerite influence 'cept their flowery tongue, surprised me recently turning up with information for a job - my kind of job. I was cautious and unenthusiastic... till He said he'd worked as nightwatchman on Lord Drakon's estate - a retreat in the mountains.
Now Drakon was never a lord - but lorded himself round in grand style after adopting a dragon symbol as his crest to pretend some ancestral credibility. They say he even invented the surname because of a notion his forebears were blooded from dragons in the old world when both black, white, and even gold alchemy held sway. ... (more)

By: Frank Mitchell Plot Description: I had an easy job planned for tonight, meet Jersak at the Broken Barrel for a pint, split the loot we got from the Hightowne Museum job, and leave quietly out the back door. Unfortunately, someone must have tipped the Hammers off to my being there, because they showed up shortly after I did. So now I'm in a cell in some nasty little basement, and it looks like Jersak is in the cell next door. I've got no idea if he managed to stash the loot before he was nabbed, or if he was the one who sold me out in the fist place.
Guess it's time to get out of here, get some questions answered, and get my money back.

Raising his eyes he can make out on the opposite side of the bars a familiar proudly-smiling shape: L'Arsene, his implacable enemy. He seems to have been watching him sleep for some time.
