By: Kfort (Katy Fortner) Plot Description: My most embarrassing moment? Hmm, let me think. Well, there was this one time ... but I'd rather not talk about it. *Sigh* Well, if you insist. It all started with a letter. A job offer - from an old hermit woman of all things. She said she had "an offer I couldn't refuse" and that I was the only thief that could pull it off. Her name was Hester - a reclusive widow who live alone on the edge of Blackwood Forest. Rumor had it that she was a little crazy and my first instinct was to simply throw the letter away. After all, I'm not usually hired by penniless widows! However, if this business has taught me anything, it is the value of taking calculated risks. I figured it couldn't hurt to check out her offer. Worst case scenario, I would waste a few hours travel time and have to deal with some cazy lady. If the offer was for real, I'd have rent for several months and little extra for my retirement fund. I figured it was worth the risk . . . too bad I was wrong. At any rate, Hester had asked me to meet her at her home to discuss the details. So off I rode to her little hovel in the woods, prepared for one old woman - or so I thought! What happened next is not for the faint of heart . . . . Additional Comments: FM Contest 4 entry

By: Kfort (Katy Fortner) Plot Description: Due a dramatic rise in crime, helped in no small part by the contributions of a certain master thief, the Bluecoats and Hammerites of the City were in an uproar. Between the increased patrols, nightly curfews, and frequent raids, it was becoming quite unhealthy to be a thief, even a very uncommon one. Until the authorities settle down, Garrett decided to spend some time in his "summer cottage" - a small hut on the edge of Blackwood Forest, well outside of the City. At first the quiet and simplicity of forest were relaxing. But within a week, Garrett was restless for the action and thrills of the City...(more)

By: Kfort (Katy Fortner) Plot Description: You are a stable boy at Big Bob's Burrick Ranch. Tonight you have been given the important task of watching over Bob's prized elemental burricks. Over the past few weeks, a number of rare burricks have mysteriously vanished from neighboring farms. Bob is concerned his ranch might be next, so he has taken some precautions. The barn is barred from the inside and guards are patrolling outside. All you have to do is sit back and count the cracks in the walls . . . Oh, and make sure nothing bad happens to the burricks, of course. Don't mess this up! If you do a good job tonight, you might be promoted to HEAD burrick boy. Additional Comments: FM Contest 5 entry

By: Kfort (Katy Fortner) Plot Description: Young Lord Milano has allowed his security to grow lax as of late. Long nights spent drinking and carousing have left the good lord with little time for his more practical duties. Why not teach him the error of his ways? With a mansion so full of expensive items, the trip will certainly be worth your time. The mansion will be easy to enter - simply drop into the enclosed garden adjacent to the servants' quarters. Lord Milano will be out of town until Tuesday, so except for a few servants and a handful of guards, you will have the place all to yourself. Should be as easy as stealing candy from a baby . . .

By: Komag (Ben Ramsey) Plot Description: On your way to grab some grub at a nearby tavern, a band of city guards transporting something spotted you as you tried to grab the contents of the crate for yourself! They didn't nab you, however, and you ran out of the city limits with a few of them hot on your trail. Charging into a nearby cave, you stumble over a sleeping body, and fall headlong down a steep hole, while the guards above can be heard discovering that there are a few other lowly thieves in the cave (including the one you stumbled over). Thinking they've caught up to and apprehended the thief they were trailing, they begin to mercilessly attack the other thieves, while you manage to scramble away deeper into the caves...

By: Komag (Ben Ramsey) Plot Description: A woman named Victoria has offered me a job to steal a sword from a nobleman named Constantine, but in my preparations for the heist I heard word of a giant tree with valuable magical healing fruit which grows in Constantine's orchard. I've decided to put off the sword job for another night, and steal into the high wall orchard to grab some of the fruits for myself, as they will probably bring in a pretty penny on the street. Basso has supplied me with a basic map he drew from information he bribed from an old guard who somehow used to "work" there - in a tree? Anyway, since I've heard the tree is rather huge, I'm glad the Keepers made me master the art of the rope arrow, which should come in quite handy on this little adventure. Additional Comments: This is a conversion from the original T1 mission; an update, not a remake from scratch.

By: Komag (Ben Ramsey) Plot Description: You've been with the Keepers for a couple years now, and you've complete a few novice missions satisfactory to the Keeper high council. It's time they gave you a job a bit more challenging, and now they have: The citizens of Miniport, a small densly packed town many miles away and somewhat isolated from the City, are up to no good. Not that the Keepers would generally care whether certain people are up to no good or not, but in this case they may soon have the ability to drastically upset the balance of power in the world as you know it. It seems they have captured a giant creature and have employed the eccentric skills of a certain alchemist among them. He is researching the creature and is attempting to formulate a magic potion for the people of Miniport ...(more) Additional Comments: FM Contest 2 second place

By: Komag (Ben Ramsey) Plot Description: You have often had strange dreams. Dreams take you away from the grime and death on the streets, whether you welcome the departure or not. Tonight, it would seem you had too much to drink before bed, because you have dreamed of a large twisting waterslide (and we all know what that means!). But you figure you might as well have a little dreamland fun while you're there. And as is often the case, there is a mysterious little ring that for some reason recurs as the symbolic exit of your dreams. When you feel like waking up, just find and grab the ring. Additional Comments: (T2 Conversion Notes) - I decided to do a quick conversion job for this little mission, my first ever. - It's still a simple, crampy crawly beginner newbie mission - I didn't change any terrain at all, but I retextured the mission with more variety

By: Lady Rowena Plot Description: A few months have passed since Garrett helped Basso and Jenivere escape together. They are now happily married and have settled down in a small town close to the city: East Fording, where Basso decided to open a locksmithing shop. Shortly thereafter, Basso invited Garrett to spend a few days at his home. Garrett accepted the invitation and received a reply the next day. "Garrett,
Jenivere and I are thrilled that you will be spending time with us. As mentioned in the invitation, we will be
waiting for you at the Carnival which is scheduled to begin in 20 days. I can't wait to see you again. I miss the good old days. I also have a suggestion: leave your "work tools" at home...let's have some fun instead! Jenivere and Basso
P.S. We have had two or three cases of plague in town recently, therefore the city council has decided to impose a curfew. This will most likely be settled within a few days, but just in case it isn't, I have enclosed a map of my house. There is a hidden passageway just outside the city walls that was once used by smugglers. The exit is in my storage hut, and from there you will be able to enter the city without being seen."

By: Lady Rowena (A.M.I) Plot Description: The story takes place during the events in T2, before the death of Sheriff Truart. Garrett receives an unespected letter from Lord Carlysle.
Mister Garrett, I never would have thought that I would need your services, but sometimes life has a few surprises in store for you. Perhaps you've already heard of me making my daughter Isabella marry Lord Bafford's son, Cedric. They went to live in the country, in the old mansion that belonged to Lord Bafford's great grandfather.
However strange things have been happening in the last few months. Sheriff Truart's men were already there because of the mysterious disappearance of two of the maids; Isabella vanished a few days ago as well. I recently received a strange message from Barker, the caretaker...(more)
