Close Maps Using Mouse

Explanation:

In Thief 1 you could leave a scroll/book/note by clicking the mouse, in T2 you have to use the Esc key. Some preferred the T1 as all players use the mouse, and moving to the Esc took time if no keys were near it.

Points to bear in mind:

Possible AlternativePerhaps best way is to allow players to choose what key, action to press but that does add complexity.

Possible AlternativePerhaps the item could actually be taken out/picked up/leaned into and looked at only while the use item key/button is depressed. A cursor or some other mechanism could enable you to flip pages, however this could be tedious when reading through several pages of text.
