Remove the Store

Explanation:

Instead of using your entire loot reserves for buying new items/weapons, the player should start the game with their own private arsenal and choose what you'll take from it and what you'll leave for each mission.In addition, the levels should not contain extra thieving equipment unless it suits the atmosphere -- a thieve's guild, for instance, might have things like flash bombs and rope arrows, but certainly not the respectable mansion uptown.

Points to bear in mind:

Good PointThere is a consequence to wanton squandering of supplies There is a benefit to conserving equipment Taking everything with you becomes unfavorable You can customize your thief The missions focus less on looting and more on getting the job done

Possible AlternativeBlack market contacts would be available throughout the game to sell or buy different types of specialised weapons and items

Possible AlternativeIf implemented, other sources to 'buy' items should still be avaliable elseware. The buying screen in previous thief games was the equilivant to Garrets blackmarket contacts as well as his regular item shops. For these reasons, the store should be replaced, not just removed.

Possible AlternativeGarret's wealth and items should be carried through from mission to mission (unless Garret gets stripped of his possesions in a mission). He should have the ability to buy or sell as usefull items become available.
