Remove Flares

Explanation:

Flares are useless, they create light, which defeats one of the main tennants of the game, and even then, they do not provide enough of it anyway!

Points to bear in mind:

They still can be useful in very dark environments, and they do represent a good gameplay trade off between seeing where you are, and being seen.

The asthetics could be improved, currently they are too TombRaider like.

This is probably one of the best reasons to play Thief at night. If your monitor is properly set up & it doesn't have the glare from your television or reading lamp behind you, you should be able to see everything without any aides.

__ This comment assumes Garret is not able to use a tourch for the same purpose. __ Flares are useful to find hidden objects in a level. The hidden outside enterence in 'Caseing the Joint' form T2 comes to mind!

I've heard it said that flares can be used to blow up explosive barrels? ;)
