Leave Footprints in Snow and Gravel

Explanation:

Make Snow, gravel, and other 'soft' surfaces remember footprints, and allow guards to be alerted by them if in strange locations.

Points to bear in mind:

Point to bear in mindWhen would the footsteps expire? In commandos it was fairly quick which made the game playable, but it would ruin the immersion in thief.

Point to bear in mindThis feature might look pretty & you can make designs in the snow & all that, but if it gives away your position, it may be a hassle. Perhaps it should be in the game's options.
