Eyes have to Adjust

Explanation:

Add to the engine the idea that eyes have to adjust to brightness. This would not only affect the player, but the AIs as well - introducing a new gameplay element into the game.

Points to bear in mind:

Possible AlternativeMap brightness values as 48bit and then keep a 32 bit window of what is actually on screen at any time. This would accurately reproduce not being able to see 'details'.

Good PointThis would also permit reserving the highest portion of the logical brightness range for bright light sources. This would handle scene brightness realistically - looking at an electric light would bump up the logical brightness dramatically, making even medium shadows in the background rendered as black (below the bottom threshold of the rendered brightness window).

Point to bear in mindIt sounds like it would take a lot of work to make it not only believable but practical. If it won't ruin the detail of the game but inhance it, I am for it.
